This could easily be served with a country dish cooked with a thick slice of farm bacon. A full-flavored dish would go well with this wine. Roasted farm bacon with mashed potatoes and gravy.
This wine could also be drunk with white meat, fish like Féra (lake trout) with bacon and fresh cheese.
Gamay noir à jus blanc.
The wine is adorned with a ruby color. It is brilliant and clear. It reveals many tints and highlights that make it attractive.
The nose is expressive with notes of fresh red berries and English candies.
The mouth feel is fresh, appetizing, with a slight thirst quenching feel that enhances the aromatic richness: redcurrant, raspberry and strawberry flavors linger on the finish full of charm.
This wine can be enjoyed at any time of day, in a congenial atmosphere with relatives or friends. It would go well with grilled pork tenderloin, “Andouillette à la Beaujolaise” (tripe sausage), filet of red mullet a la plancha, grilled monkfish, a salad of lentils and rillons- cracklings, a sabodet (a type of big sausage) cooked in Beaujolais or just cheese.
